中西合璧 有容乃大 | 蘇外昆山校區外教團建行發表時間:2019-09-25 09:34 新學期伊始,蘇外昆山校區迎來了來自英美澳加等不同國家的21名外教。外教隊伍的壯大不僅增添了學校的國際化氛圍,也為學校從幼兒園到高中K-12國際融合課程的研發打下了良好的基礎。 At the beginning of the new semester, there’re 21 foreign teachers from different countries, such as Britain, America, Australia and Canada, joining Kunshan Campus of Suzhou Foreign Language School (SFLSKS). The growth of foreign teachers not only adds to the international atmosphere to the school, but also lays a good foundation for the development of K-12 international integrated curriculum from kindergarten to high school. 外教管理是國際化學校管理中的重中之重,如何讓擁有不同國籍和不同文化背景的外教在中國的土壤中得到認同感和歸屬感尤為重要。外教的團建與其說是為了團隊凝聚力的提升,更是通過活動使不同文化之間進行一次特殊的融合。 The management of foreign teachers is the top priority in the management of an international school. For some foreign teachers, it is also a good opportunity for them to get in touch with Suzhou culture and Chinese history. 團建中外教們游覽虎丘名勝、傾聽“非遺”評彈、日走“平江路”古巷、夜游“斜塘老街”,無時無刻感受著東、西文化的碰撞,中外意識的交融。尤其令人感慨和驚喜的是,一個半小時的評彈演出中,盡管大部分外教無法理解詞句的意思,但是古老評彈的優美韻律還是讓所有人回味無窮。 Chinese and foreign teachers visited “Tiger Hill”scenic spots, listened to the intangible cultural heritage “Ping Tan”, walked the "Pingjiang Road" alley at day time, and traveled the "old street of Xietang" at night. They felt the collision of eastern and western cultures all the time, and the blending of Chinese and foreign mindedness. What especially amazing is that during an hour and a half performance, although most foreign teachers can not understand the meaning of words and sentences, the beautiful rhythm of the ancient performance still makes everyone memorize endlessly. 英文導游對虎丘的歷史和文化娓娓道來,外教隊伍中也藏龍臥虎,不乏中國通和歷史學家。外國歷史專家和中國英文導游的討論引起了電視臺記者的注意,不由得在采訪項目中增添了對昆外外教的采訪。中國通John發自內心地用中文說: “我愛蘇州!我愛中國!” English tour guide tells us a lot about the history and culture of Tiger Hill. There are many experts in Chinese history and historians in the foreign teachers’ team. Discussions between foreign historians and Chinese English tour guides have attracted the attention of TV reporters, who have willingly added interviews with our foreign teachers. John said in Chinese from his heart, "I love Suzhou! I love China! 蘇州一行只是蘇外昆山校區外教團建的一個起點,隨著國際融合課程的發展,昆外這所高端、現代化的國際學校必定會有更多的“走出去和走進來”,隨著文化、課程和教育理念的融合,我們的老師和學子會在國際化道路上越走越穩、越走越快。 The trip to Suzhou is just a starting point of team building of SFLSKS, with the development of the international integrated curriculum, this high-end and modern international school will surely have more "going out and coming in". With the integration of culture, curriculum and educational concepts, our teachers and students will go more steadily and faster on the road of internationalization. 教師感言 Teacher's Words Johan: I enjoyed the team building on Saturday. I learned a lot about the history and about the Chinese culture. It was really insightful. I think that the team building helped the teachers a lot and the teachers learned a lot from each other. It really was a great and wonderful trip. Martin: The opportunity to visit Suzhou city(Tiger hill, Pingjiang road etc) as a team(SFLS) was a great experience. The Pingjiang Road remind me a lot of the idea of China as a rich traditional society I had before coming to China. The pagoda at the Tiger Hill was impressive with its different style of architecture. I learned much about Chinese cuisine, Chinese culture... I would definitely recommend these places to anyone who wants to discover China(especially the beautiful city of Suzhou). It was a memorable experience as we got the opportunity to explore China. I wish to extend my gratitude to the management of SFLS for organising such an amazing trip.
