“My Spoken English Show”：聽說蘇外昆山校區(qū)的教職工個(gè)個(gè)深藏不露？

Final of the first "My Spoken English Show" English Speech Competition for faculty members in SFLSKS   was successfully concluded.

本次比賽旨在給老師們一次展示自我的平臺(tái)，促進(jìn)教職工提高自身英語口語水平，營造學(xué)校的國際化氛圍，掀起學(xué)英語、說英語的熱潮。

This spoken English competition aims to give all teachers and staff a platform to show themselves, promote them to improve their spoken English level, create an international atmosphere in the school, and set off an upsurge of learning and speaking English.

比賽面向蘇外昆山校區(qū)全體教職員工，分為初賽、復(fù)賽、決賽三個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)，初賽、復(fù)賽各部門自行舉辦，每個(gè)部門選出英語口語、表達(dá)及綜合能力較強(qiáng)者進(jìn)入決賽，各層次教職員工評(píng)比標(biāo)準(zhǔn)區(qū)別對(duì)待，鼓勵(lì)大家勇于開口講英語。

最終，共有十二名選手脫穎而出進(jìn)入決賽，除了學(xué)部的優(yōu)秀教師們，其他部門也涌現(xiàn)出了大批“深藏不露”的高手，其中，總務(wù)幫廚陳阿姨流利連貫且發(fā)音標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的演講更是令人感動(dòng)與驚嘆。陳阿姨表示，雖然上班期間接觸英語不多，但工作之余，也會(huì)通過新聞、報(bào)紙來學(xué)習(xí)。讓我們?yōu)殛惏⒁厅c(diǎn)贊！

In the end , twelve members enter the final , it’s so special that everyone was touched and amazed by our school kitchen staff , Mrs.Chen’s fluent, standard pronunciation.

為了充分展現(xiàn)蘇外昆山校區(qū)教職工的英語風(fēng)采，除了部分教職工與小學(xué)部全體學(xué)生外，本次決賽還特別邀請(qǐng)了數(shù)名家委會(huì)代表共同參與。同時(shí)，為了確保評(píng)分的專業(yè)與公正，本次決賽的評(píng)委團(tuán)由江國法校長、國際部李寒晶主任、以及外教Hugh、Kate、Moudi、Andris、Justin等組成。

   參賽選手們依次登臺(tái)，時(shí)而激情澎湃，時(shí)而真情流露，時(shí)而鏗鏘有力，時(shí)而娓娓道來。臺(tái)下的觀眾們聽得津津有味，并對(duì)參賽選手們致以最熱烈的掌聲。

當(dāng)選手們都演講完畢后，江校長上臺(tái)用全英文致辭。

It is the first time that contestants with different backgrounds were invited to join the same speech contest with the same criteria. Contestants include English teachers, Math teachers, administrative staff, school kitchen staff, school cleaners, and school guards. To my surprise, no matter what kind of job the contestant has, during this period, everyone joining the competition tried their best and showed their talents in spoken English. Comparing with obtaining the First Prize in the competition, creating an atmosphere to speak English and communicating in an international way seem to be more important. （與在比賽中獲得一等獎(jiǎng)相比，創(chuàng)造一個(gè)良好的英語溝通氛圍和國際化的交流顯得更為重要。）I am so glad to see all the staff gain more confidence in speaking English during this process, all the staff work together to enjoy such good international atmosphere on our campus. In addition, the positive influences from this activity on our students learning of English go far beyond what a speech competition can carry. （此外，這次活動(dòng)對(duì)我們學(xué)生英語學(xué)習(xí)的積極影響遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超出了演講比賽所能帶來的影響。）Thanks for all of your hard work and contributions, hope we will have much better performance and gain more in the next competition.

蘇外昆山校區(qū)第一屆“My Spoken English Show”教職工英語演講比賽到此畫上了圓滿的句號(hào)。相信每年持續(xù)舉辦教職工英語演講比賽，能夠進(jìn)一步營造學(xué)校的外語學(xué)習(xí)氛圍，擴(kuò)大國際化視野，展現(xiàn)教職工良好的形象與風(fēng)采！

The first "My Spoken English Show" English Speech Competition for Teachers and Staff ended satisfactorily . It is believed that holding English speech competition for teachers and staff every year can further create foreign language learning atmosphere, expand international horizons, and show the good image and style of teachers and staff!
